This antebellum mansion, built in 1860, was briefly used as a hospital for soldiers following the Battle of Olustee in 1864. The next year, Confederate Secretary of War John C. Breckinridge, reportedly spent the night here while making his escape after the fall of the Confederate government. The WSG Conference Center is listed in the Historic American Building Survey and the National Register of Historic Places.
