Rocky Face Ridge Battlefield

A small parking area at Mill Creek Gap with a plaque and historic markers is on the south side of Chattanooga Road (US Route 41), one mile east of Rocky Face, at the Georgia Department of Public Safety office. The information there describes the May 1864 action along Rocky Face Ridge and in Mill Creek Gap. A short hike up the nearby George W. Disney trail leads to some Confederate artillery revetments.
