Meeting place
We will be meeting at Strathern Historic Park at 9AM.
Planned Activities
Students will be working to clean and maintain the historic barn on the property.
History or Educational Activities
Right now we are working to put together a program to teach our students about the history of the early settlers of Simi and the significance to the name "Sinaloa" in our area.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
No, they should be dressed to work outside, so comfortable closed-toe shoes and layered clothing as the weather and temperature can be unpredictable this time of year. Volunteers should bring water and have sunscreen available in case we are working outside the barn. A handkerchief or mask may be helpful when working in dusty areas. If you have work gloves they may also come in handy.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
