Meeting place
Visitors will meet at 10:00am on April 6 at the Fort St. Jean Baptiste Visitor Center on Jefferson Street.
Planned Activities
Participants will join park staff as traveling the historic streets of Natchitoches picking up trash and learning about the history of the Fort from 1713 until 1804. Sites along the way will include the view of St. Denis home site, original fort site, and the second fort site
History or Educational Activities
Historical information given during the tour. Participants will have the opportunity to visit museum and site when the tour is finished.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Limited number of trash grabbers available. Gloves and trash bags provided.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be cancelled.
