Cannonball House and Museum

This Greek Revival home, built circa 1853, was struck during the Battle of Dunlap Hill on July 30, 1864, by a cannonball fired from one of Union Gen. George Stoneman's guns. Union forces were thought to have been firing at the Johnston-Hay House on the next corner, which was known to have stored the Confederate treasury. The original brick structure, formerly the kitchen, is located on the property and houses a collection of artifacts from the Civil War.
