Kettle Creek

Located near modern day Washington, Georgia, the Kettle Creek battlefield is a 220 acre tract encircling a 500 foot high hill.  The Kettle Creek Monument was erected by the War Department in 1930.  Visitors can also see the final resting places of a number of Revolutionary soldiers who were reburied atop the hill. Kettle Creek Battlefield was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on June 26, 1975.
