(Vicksburg, Miss.) – On Thursday, November 5, the Civil War Trust will join with other conservation leaders near Vicksburg National Military Park (NMP) to announce recent preservation achievements on the historic battleground. Speakers will include Vicksburg NMP Superintendent Bill Justice, Friends of Vicksburg Executive Director Bess Mitchell Averett, Trust Chairman emeritus John Nau and Trust President James Lighthizer.
Parking will be available at the Vicksburg Church of Christ. Refreshments will be served throughout the morning. The ceremony will occur rain or shine.
