Join this site as a volunteer on Park Day 2018, the Civil War Trust’s annual hands-on event to help battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small. Details:

Meeting place: Museum building

Meeting time: 9:00 AM

Planned Activities: Clearing Brush, Trail Mainenance

Planned Low-Impact Activities: Washing windows, sweeping storage area

Bring Tools & Supplies: tree trimming loppers, chain saw, pull saws, garden rakes, shovels, leather gloves

History or Educational Programs: Documentary of the battle will be shown along with weapons display

Food provided: Yes, water and snacks

In the Event of Inclement Weather: Continue as planned

Please note: We have 2.5 miles of trails that need to be cleared at the beginning of every season. We have some areas of the trails that wash out from rain and a lot of dead fallen trees that happen over the winter. For those that cannot walk the trails but would like to help we have cleaning projects inside and around the building.
