Join this site as a volunteer on Park Day 2018, the Civil War Trust’s annual hands-on event to help battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small. Details:

Meeting place: Visitor Center Amphitheater - near the visitor center picnic area

Meeting time: 8:30 AM

Planned Activities: Clearing Brush, Landscaping, Trail MainenanceOther

Other Activities: Invasive plant removal

Planned Low-Impact Activities: Cleaning the park picnic area and the flower beds near the park's visitor center.

Bring Tools & Supplies: work gloves - equipment will be provided

History or Educational Programs: Welcome and park history. Children can participate in the Junior Ranger program

Food provided: Yes, water and snacks

Please note: This event will be held at and around the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Visitor Center. Please park at the park's overflow parking lot on Old US Highway 41. There is a large multi-use paved trail leading to the visitor center area. This event is co-hosted by the Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club (KMTC). The KMTC is a non-profit volunteer organization that has supported Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park through trail maintenance, trail ambassadors, and assistance of the park interpretation and education programs.
