Join this site as a volunteer on Park Day 2018, the Civil War Trust’s annual hands-on event to help battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small. Details:

Meeting place: At the Hickory County Museum, one block North at the end of Museum Street (1 block west of Casey's Gas & Convenience Store on Highway 54)

Meeting time: beginning at 9 AM, can come later as personal schedule requires

Planned Activities: Landscaping, Painting, Planting, Trash Removal, Other

Other Activities: Interior cleaning, filing, Log cabin outbuilding repair,

Planned Low-Impact Activities: tidying, dusting, indoor areas

Bring Tools & Supplies: gloves, cool weather clothing as Missouri weather can be chilly or warm in April.

History or Educational Programs: on-going historical tours

Food provided: Hot dogs, chips, tea , coffee, sodas.

In the Event of Inclement Weather: Continue as planned
