Please note: The weather in early April can be very cold and windy on the open battlefields. Dress appropriately to include hats. CWT Park Day volunteers must wear long pants, wear sturdy boots (water proof is preferred), personal work gloves are requested. The park will supply all tools. The primary project will be to tear down 1000' of historic Virginia worm fence and rebuild with new rails or post. Once the fence is rebuilt there will be a significant amount of sledge hammering of the fence post. The park will supply additional gloves and eye protection if needed. Volunteers may work 5-6 hours. This should be a very satisfying and fun project!!!
