Join this site as a volunteer on Park Day 2018, the Civil War Trust’s annual hands-on event to help battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small. Details:

Meeting place: In front of historic Robert Hall Pearson Farmhouse

Meeting time: 9:00 a.m.

Planned Activities: Building or Repairing Fences, Clearing Brush, Landscaping, Trash Removal, Trail Mainenance

Planned Low-Impact Activities: Picking up sticks

Bring Tools & Supplies: Rakes, other lawn care tools, work gloves

History or Educational Programs: History of the battle.

Food provided: Yes, water and snacks

In the Event of Inclement Weather: Continue as planned

Please note: Volunteers should wear sturdy clothing and footwear. Go three miles east of Baldwin City, Kansas, on US Highway 56 and then a half mile south.
