Abraham Lincoln
and the American Experiment at the Lincoln Museum,
which includes 4 theatres and 11 exhibit galleries
featuring hundreds of artifacts and images from Lincoln's
era.
Ongoing - Washington, D.C.
Docent led tour highlights the exhibition, "To Bind Up the Nation's Wounds: Medicine During the Civil War," at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington, D.C. Visitors receive the opportunity to experience Civil War medicine through the eyes of battlefield surgeons and the sick and wounded Union and Confederate personnel, as well learn about the state of medicine during this time. 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Civil War Days: Civil War Days at Thunder Valley Stables is the largest Civil War reenactment in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Battle reenactments will be held both days. Other activities include living history, horse-drawn wagon tours, sutlers ladies' tea, demonstrations, Civil War period baseball, and infantry and artillery shows. Adults $5/1 day or $8/2 days; youth 3-12 $4/1 day or $7/2 days. 2 and under free. Events run 9 AM - 10 PM Saturday and 9 AM - 4 PM Sunday.
