The Fight Continues

On April 30, 2010, just days before the 146th anniversary of the battle, the Orange County Circuit Court issued a decision declaring that litigation to block the Wilderness Walmart filed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Friends of Wilderness Battlefield and local residents will move forward to trial.

The judge’s ruling dismissed a motion by the county to dismiss all charges as without merit and deny that the plaintiffs had appropriate standing to file suit over the controversial store.  

CWPT applauds the court’s decision — the fight to protect the Wilderness has just begun!
