The Fight Continues
In the latest salvo of the ongoing Wilderness Walmart fight, on September 23, 2009, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Friends of Wilderness Battlefield and local residents filed a legal challenge against the controversial store.
According to a statement released by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, litigation is an unfortunate but necessary step in order to prevent the imminent destruction of a historic treasure.
CWPT applauds those individuals and organizations with appropriate legal standing for taking this necessary step, and pledges its continued support throughout this process.
