Stop the Gettysburg Casino
Students Take Action
Once again a group of investors have chosen Gettysburg, Pennsylvania – the scene of indescribable suffering in 1863 – as the location for a new casino. The proposed casino would be a mere ½ mile from the National Park.
Fortunately we can stop them!
It's time to take action
Write a Letter -
Write a persuasive letter to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board expaining why you feel there should not be a casino near the Gettysburg Battlefield. Send to CWPT.
Create a Poster -
Make a poster displaying how you think the casino will impact the Gettysburg Battlefield. The title should be "Stop the Gettysburg Casino." Send to CWPT.
Post a Picture -
Post a picture on our Flickr group account, Stop the Gettysburg Casino: Students Take Action. Post a picture of yourself or your entire class with our "Stop the Gettysburg Casino" poster (PDF) or "Protect Gettysburg" poster (PDF).
