Help Us Save North Woods Tract at Antietam Through CrowdRise!
Form a Team and Rally With Us
We’ve just placed the winning bid at auction for an important piece of hallowed ground at Antietam — a 1.2-acre tract located at the historic North Woods. Now, we urgently need your help to raise the funds, and hope you and our many other supporters will help us now by launching a fundraising team on Crowdrise!
The Battle of Antietam remains the bloodiest day in American history, with more Americans killed or wounded on a single day of combat than died on the beaches of Normandy during World War II or in the attacks of 9/11.
This land is an important piece of our nation’s story. Now we need your help to protect this land for future generations. For the first time ever, the Trust is sponsoring a crowd-funding initiative on CrowdRise with the goal of raising $25,000 toward the cost of the North Woods battle land parcel. But we don’t have much time: we must raise the entire amount by November 3rd (45 days after public auction), so we can acquire the property and save it forever.
