Combined Federal Campaign and State Charitable Campaigns

Support the Civil War Trust through your State and Federal Charitable Programs

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Combined Federal Campaign and State workplace charitable campaigns in 2012. The support we get from workplace giving campaigns is essential to our work, and goes straight to saving Civil War Battlefields from development, and promoting Civil War education. We look forward to another successful year in 2013!

Please let us know about your gift through the CFC! If you did not complete the Recognition Options box on your pledge form and check the appropriate boxes, your gift will come to us as an anonymous donation. However, if you inform us of your gift, we would love to thank you for your generosity. You can also inform us of your gift by contacting Alice Mullis at amullis@civilwar.org or at 202-367-1861 ext. 7219.

Also, please be aware that there is sometimes a long lag between when you complete your pledge form, and when we are told about your gift (sometimes it is many months), so we may not be able to thank you for your gift right away. We will get information about most donations in the late spring/early summer of 2013.

State Employees' Workplace Charitable Campaign

In 2012 we participated in a number of state campaigns, including those in: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.

We plan on participating in the same campaigns in the 2013 season—most campaigns should start in mid-September. Please check back here in September to see the links to each state campaign we are going to participate in.

As with the CFC, we encourage donors to complete the Recognition Options box on their pledge forms to inform the Civil War Trust of their gift. There is also a lag between when state employees complete their pledge forms, and when we are told about the gifts.

Thank you to everyone who made donations through the United Way last year. We encourage everyone who donates through the United Way to please let us know that you have made a gift through the United Way, otherwise we will not know that the donation has come from you, and we will not be able to thank you appropriately.
