Classmates Turned Enemies
The Battle of Tom's Brook pitted two friends and West Point classmates, George Armstrong Custer and Tom Rosser against one another. The opposing classmates met one another in battle on the ground the Trust is currently working to save.

Saluting the Enemy
Just prior to ordering his horsemen into battle, Custer rode out in front of his troops and made a grand gesture of salute in honor of his enemy and West Point classmate Tom Rosser.
