Andrew Hull Foote
In the attack upon Fort Henry, Flag Officer Andrew Foote's flotilla of ironclads and timberclads did great damage to the Confederate fort. At Donelson, Foote's gunboats would be repulsed with heavy damage. Foote would also sustain an injury to his shoulder and foot.
