The 2013 Civil War Trust Photo Contest

Our Grand Prize winner has gone back-to-back! Buddy Secor, of Stafford, Virginia, takes first place overall for his magnificent shot of Slaughter Pen Farm in Fredricksburg. And, after tallying votes, our People's Choice winner is Tad Sattler, of East Hampton, Connecticut, for his exhilarating picture of advancing Confederates at Antietam. We invite you to check out the display above to view all of our winners and enjoy the unique perspective each photo provides about the Civil War.

Thanks to all of our 2013 entrants, who have made for yet another compelling and thought-provoking contest. Our next contest will come up before you know it and we encourage everyone to get out there and continue to take amazing photos that celebrate our collective history!

Even though the contest is closed this year, you can continue to share your Civil War photos with us year round. Our American Civil War Battlefields photo group on Flickr remains open 24/7/365! Share your photos »
