The CWPT's New Digital Photo Contest

Show us your best Civil War photos
We are excited to announce that this year we will be making a number of changes that we hope will make participating easier than ever.

Given that many of you now use digital cameras to capture your favorite Civil War images, we wanted to create a contest that was more digital-photo-friendly. So with this year’s contest we will be accepting digital photos uploaded into our CWPT photo group on Flickr™.

Civil War Battlefields
This category is for all your great photos of scenic Civil War battlefields.

People on Civil War Battlefields
This category focuses on people visiting or enjoying Civil War battlefields.

Preservation Threats
Enter your photos that showcase modern threats to Civil War battlefields.

Then & Now
In this category entrants will upload a historic photo and a modern photo of the
same Civil War site.

Contest Rules

The 2008 CWPT Photo Contest will run June 1, 2008 - August 31, 2008. Each photo may be entered into only one category. Contestants must be at least 13 years old. Winning photos from past CWPT photo contests cannot be re-entered. The contestant must ensure that they possess proper rights over any entered photo. Only photos uploaded to Flickr™ and properly tagged within the June 1, 2008 to August 31, 2008 window will be considered for the contest.
