Park Day 2001, April 28

It's that time of year again! The Civil War Preservation Trust is holding its annual Park Day on Saturday, April 28, 2001. Every year, CWPT members across the country turn out in droves to conduct hands-on preservation activities at their favorite Civil War sites.

Each Civil War site has different needs, but whether you're painting signs, laying trails, sweeping leaves, or hauling trash out of a stream, you know you're actively helping preserve your park! It leave you with a great sense of accomplishment! And, at each site, historians visit all volunteers to tell them about the land they are helping to preserve.

This is the perfect activity for scout troops, Civil War roundtables, or families, because it's fun and educational but it doesn't cost a cent!
