PENNSYLVANIA STATEWIDE VOTER POLL
- FALL 2005
How the poll was conducted: This poll was
conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc.
of Washington, D.C. on October 27-29, 2005. A total
of 625 registered voters throughout the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania were interviewed.
Those interviewed were selected by the random variation
of the last four digits of telephone numbers. A cross-section
of exchanges were utilized to ensure an accurate profile
of the city electorate.
The margin for error, according to standards customarily
used by statisticians, is no more than plus or minus
4 percentage points. This means that there is a 96
percent probability that the "true" figure
would fall within that range if all city voters were
surveyed.
QUESTION: Pennsylvania is currently considering
several locations to allow casino gambling, which
was recently legalized. In general, would you support
or oppose building a casino near a historic site in
Pennsylvania?
