Civil War Sites Advisory Commission Report on the Nation's Civil War Battlefield »
Congress established the Civil War Sites Advisory Commission in 1991 to identify the most significant lands associated with the Civil War and to evaluate their condition and any threats to their preservation. This report, published in 1993, forms the basis of The Civil War Trust's battlefield preservation efforts.
