The following is an election banner, dated 1864, depicting Abraham Lincoln for President and Andrew Johnson of Tennessee for Vice-President on the 'National Union' Party ticket.  In a tightly contested race against tarnished general George B. McClellan, the two men nosed out a victory following Sherman's successes in Georgia.
