Civil War Trust

Share the past with our future

One hundred fifty years have passed since the Civil War was fought, but the deeds, sacrifices and legacy of the brave men and women of that era live on. Each of the seven subsequent generations of Americans has kept the story alive through books, oral history and upkeep of the places where Civil War events occurred. Now, it is our turn — and our duty — to teach the next generation about this essential aspect of the American experience.

“Fantastic! My 10 year old son thoroughly enjoyed himself and hung on the guides' every words. He is a history buff in-the-making, and this experience has him yearning for more.” - Stephanie S.
