Preservation Opportunity: 168 Acres
Fort Donelson & Shiloh

Let’s Save 168 Acres at Fort Donelson and Shiloh
Today we have an opportunity to save 168 acres of battlefield land at two of the Civil War’s most important battlefields – Shiloh and Fort Donelson. At Donelson we are told that the 7 acre plot we seek to save is the “single-most important parcel currently not protected.” And at Shiloh we have a chance to save 161 acres of land that has been called “the most critical in terms of the potential negative impact on the historic viewshed.”

With this preservation opportunity we can multiply every dollar you donate by $2.70. So out of a total purchase price of $846,900 we will need to raise $312,900. Our success is driven by donations from members and supporters like you. This historic ground can be saved if we act now.
