Preservation Opportunity: 168 Acres
Fort Donelson
& Shiloh

Let’s Save 168 Acres at Fort Doneslson and Shiloh
Today we have an opportunity to save 168 acres of battlefield land at two of the Civil War’s most important battlefields – Shiloh and Fort Donelson. At Donelson we are told that the 7 acre plot we seek to save is the “single-most important parcel currently not protected.” And at Shiloh we have a chance to save 161 acres of land that has been called “the most critical in terms of the potential negative impact on the historic viewshed.”

Thanks to the support of the Federal Civil War Battlefield Protection Program and the Tennessee Heritage Conservation Trust Fund we can multiply every dollar you donate towards the Tennessee Campaign by $2.70. So to preserve this historic ground forever the CWPT is looking to raise $312,900 out of the total $846,900 purchase price.
