White Hall State Historic House

500 White Hall Shrine Road, Richmond, KY 40475, USA

Cassius Marcellus Clay, "the Lion of White Hall, " was an outspoken emancipationist, newspaper publisher, and minister to Russia under his friend Abraham Lincoln. This Italianate mansion, furnished in period pieces, was built for Clay and has many noteworthy features.

From I-75 take exit 95; travel on Highway 627; cross U.S. 25. The house is located at the end of Highway 627.

Visitor Services

Tours are available, guided by docents in period dress. Gift Shop.
