The State Museum of Pennsylvania

Among the museum's holdings is a large and important collection of Civil War materials, including flags, uniforms, firearms, swords, accoutrements, and soldiers' personal gear. A new Civil War exhibit is under development. The temporary Civil War gallery is limited to a group of five paintings by Carl Rochling, including the famous "The Battle of Fredericksburg."

From I-83 south take Second Street exit, then turn right on North Street. Proceed 2 blocks to Third and North; musuem is on opposite corner. From I-81 take exit 66 (Front Street); turn left on North Street.
