Spotsylvania County Museum

Built in 1856 under the supervision of prominent builder Samuel Alsop, the Old Berea Christian Church was scarred by shots and shells during the 1864 Battle of Spotsylvania Court House. Housed in the well-preserved church, the Spotsylvania County Museum's Civil War exhibit includes weaponry, reproduction uniforms, and information on soldier life.

Directions

I-95 to Spotsylvania exit 126. Take Route 1 south; ' mile Right on Southpoint Parkway got 2 miles; make a left on Courthouse Road (Route 208). Take Courthouse Road (Business Route 208) to Spotsylvania Courthouse (approximately 7 miles) at the traffic light. Turn left at the traffic light at the T intersection. The Spotsylvania County Museum will be on the right
