South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Museum

This military collection was established in 1896 to honor South Carolina's Confederate veterans. The museum contains exhibits from the American Revolution through Desert Storm, with the focus on South Carolina in the Civil War.

Directions

From Augusta Take I-20 to Columbia and exit onto U.S. highway 1. Follow this highway several miles all the way to the bridge crossing the Congaree River. Once you cross the bridge, the museum is on your left. Continue up to the corner and turn left onto Huger Street, then a block later, follow the left turn signs onto Washington St. This will take you directly to the museum. From Charleston Take I-26 West and exit onto U.S. highway 1. Follow this highway, which becomes Meeting Street, all the way to the bridge crossing the Congaree River. Once you cross the bridge, the museum is on your left. Continue up to the corner and turn left onto Huger Street, then a block later, follow the left turn signs onto Washington St. This will take you directly to the museum.
