The purpose of the Rowan Museum, Inc. is to collect, preserve, research, exhibit and educate the public about the history of Rowan County and piedmont North Carolina through the use of its properties, programs and collections.

Interstate 85 (Charlotte and Greensboro): Take Exit 76 (Innes Street) off I-85 North turn left, off I-85 South turn right, at the end of the Exit Ramp. Go approximately 1 mile into Downtown Salisbury, and following East Innes Street downtown, crossing the railroad tracks, turn right onto Lee Street and go one block. Take the first left onto Council Street, go one block and cross North Main Street, and immediately on your right, on the corner of West Council and North Main Street, you’ll see the old courthouse, the Rowan Museum.
