Museum of Science and History

1025 Museum Circle, Jacksonville, FL 32207, USA

This general museum includes an exhibit on the Union transport ship Maple Leaf, which struck a Confederate mine in St. Johns River and sank in 1864. Recently discovered and partially excavated, the ship-wreck has yielded well-preserved examples of military and civilian equipment.

From I-95 north take San Marco Boulevard, exit 108. Travel on San Marco 3 blocks until San Marco ends at a T intersection with Museum Circle. MOSH is straight ahead. From I-95 south take Riverside/Mary Street/Main Street/Prudential Drive, exit 107. Follow signs for the Mary Street exit; take the Mary Street exit, remaining in the left lane of the exit ramp. At the bottom of the exit ramp at the light, turn left (north) onto San Marco; proceed straight ahead on San Marco 1 block until San Marco ends at a T intersection with Musuem Circle. Mosh is straight ahead.

Adults $10.00, seniors and active military $8.00, children (3-12) $8.00 ($5.00 Fridays - admission is $5.00 for all ages).
