Missouri History Museum

To commemorate the Civil War's sesquicentennial (2011-2015), the Missouri History Museum's is creating a comprehensive exhibition titled, The Civil War in Missouri. The exhibit explores the complexities of the Civil War through the eyes of Missourians who experienced it first-hand. The once-in-a-lifetime exhibition features American treasures, compelling imagery, and interactive, thought-provoking elements. The Missouri History Museum offers additional exhibitions, programs, events and tours to tell the stories of St. Louis.

The Missouri History Museum is easily accessible from Highway 40/64. Exit at McCausland and go north. McCausland turns into Skinker, continue until Lindell and turn right. The Museum is located at Lindell and De Baliviere on the north side of Forest Park.

Public restrooms; information; gift shop; food for purchase; handicapped access.

Available Interpretation

Audio tours are available for purchase; guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more with advance reservations.
