Janney Furnace Park

145 Janney Road, Ohatchee, AL 36271, USA

Janney Furnace was built by Alfred A. Janney in 1863 & 1864 to produce pig iron during the Civil War for the Confederate States of America . Janney Furnace Park is now part of the Calhoun County Park System and is open to the public daily from 8:00 am to dusk.

Directions

Exit #168 North off I-20 (this is hwy 77). Right on Hwy 144 in Ohatchee (Jack's restaurant t intersection, Left on Big Oaks Road (1st left), Left on Spring Road (Big Oaks dead ends), right on Janney road.
