Gamble Plantation Historic State Park

3708 Patten Avenue, Ellenton, FL 34222, USA

This mansion was the home of Maj. Robert Gamble and served as the center of a large sugar plantation in the antebellum period. Confederate Secretary of State, Judah P. Benjamin, took refuge in the house as he fled the country after the fall of the Confederacy.

From I-75 take exit 224, go 1 mile west on Highway 301.
