The Fort Smith Museum of History acquires, preserves, exhibits and interprets objects of historical significance relevant to the founding and growth of the fort and of the region. The history of Fort Smith, including its periods of occupation by both Confederate and Federal forces during the Civil War, is brought to life through the museum's many attractions and exhibits.

Directions

From I-540 take Rogers Avenue exit west to historic downtown, following signs for the Fort Smith National Historic Site. Fort Smith Museum of History is a four-story warehouse at the corner of 4th Street and Rogers.
