Fort DeRussy State Historic Site

Fort Derussy Road, Marksville, LA 71351, USA

The Fort DeRussy State Historic Site, named after Col. Lewis G. DeRussy, consists of an earthen fort, cemetery and water battery. Union forces captured the fort as part of the Red River campaign in 1864.

Directions

From I-49 take Louisiana Highway 115 through Bunkie to Marksville. In Marksville take Acton Street to Preston Street. Turn off Preston Street to Martin Luther King Drive.
