Ford's Theatre National Historic Site

511 10th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20004, USA

President Abraham Lincoln was shot while attending a play at Ford's Theatre on April 14, 1865. Following the shooting, he was moved to the Petersen House, a neighboring boardinghouse, where he died nine hours later.

Located on 10th Street NW between E and F streets. The site is within walking distance of the Metro stops at Metro Center and Gallery Place. Parking garages and metered street parking are located nearby.
