Drum Barracks Civil War Museum

1052 North Banning Boulevard, Wilmington, CA 90744, USA

The Museum is housed in the last remaining wooden structure of the 60-acre, 22-building military post built here in 1862. As U.S. Army Headquarters for Southern California and the Arizona Territory, it protected the harbor, kept the peace, secured the area for the Union and served as a supply depot.

Directions

From the 110 Freeway: Exit Pacific Coast Highway east to Avalon Boulevard. Take Avalon south (right) to "L" street. Turn left on "L" Street and go three blocks to Banning Boulevard. Turn right on Banning Boulevard. Located about 1 block down on the left-hand side. Look for the large white house with a parking lot and flag pole in front.
