Clinton Confederate State Cemetery

Marston Street, Clinton, LA 70722, USA

This four-acre cemetery contains the remains of hundreds of Civil War troops, both Union and Confederate. Because Clinton was connected to the Mississippi River by railroad, the town received many sick and wounded soldiers from nearby Port Hudson.

Directions

Located north of Baton Rouge on Louisiana 67 in Clinton; go straight to the caution light on 67; turn left on St. Helen Street, turn left on Bank Street, and go 2 blocks and turn right. Continue 1 1/2 blocks. Cemetery is on the right.
