Battle of Lexington State Historic Site

1101 Delaware Street, Lexington, MO 64067, USA

Site includes a Visitors Center with a twenty minute video about the Battle of Lexington and exhibits. A self-guided walking tour of the battlefield includes low-profile exhibits describing the action. Guided tours of the Oliver House (circa 1853) which was used as a Federal Hospital during the battle.

Interstate 70 to Highway 13 north, turn left on Main St (Rte. 224). Turn right on 13th Street, and left on Delaware St.

Admission Fee

Admission to the visitor center free; Tours of the Anderson House: free for children under 6; $2.50 children under 13; $4.00 13 and above. Family rate of $15.00. Group rates available.


Grounds: sunrise to sunset daily. Anderson House: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 AM - 4 PM; Sunday 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM (closed on Mondays. Closed Tuesdays in March, August - October). Visitor Center: Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. See website for full hours.
