A Historic Chance Save Brandy Station
On June 9, 1863, the sound of thundering hooves mingled with the roar of battle as 20,000 Union and Confederate horsemen met on the rolling farm fields near Brandy Station in the watershed cavalry battle of the Civil War.
Now, in year of the battle's 150th anniversary, the Civil War Trust has the opportunity to save Fleetwood Hill—the epicenter of the battle and the long-sought-after missing piece of the Brandy Station battlefield.
