July 2010
Dear Civil War Preservationist,

Over the years, CWPT and its members have endeavored to save more than 1,400 acres of the Brandy Station Battlefield. Now, we are truly excited about a new opportunity to save an additional 782 acres – acres that saw Wade Hampton, John Buford, Rooney Lee and other great cavalry chieftains locked in mortal combat. Victory here would mean that Brandy Station would become the first battlefield where we have saved more than 2,000 acres – a remarkable achievement.

In other news, the battle over the proposed Gettysburg Casino is moving into a critical phase. If you haven't had the chance yet to weigh in yet, consider sending your thoughts to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board via our new online petition, listed below.
