A two-day professional development for K12 teachers, Teaching the Civil War during the 150th Anniversary kicks-off the Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War with a practical learning experience for educators.  During the event the Trust will also release its newly redesigned Civil War Curriculum, providing hard copies to all participating teachers while launching a free web-version for teachers nation-wide.

Three outstanding workshops led by educators specializing in the history and commemoration of the American Civil War

A hard copy of the Trust's new Civil War Curriculum complete with 27 new lesson plans, including all attached worksheets and a disk with all digital materials

A behind the scenes tour of the Cyclorama at the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center

A two-part private tour at Gettysburg National Military Park

Location and Parking

March 19th - Meet at Breidenbaugh Hall on the Gettysburg College Campus. Parking is available in the Musselman Lot.

Continuing Education Credits

For this event Gettysburg College is offering Pennsylvania teachers ACT 48 Credit and Continuing Education Units are available. Be sure to mark that you would like to receive them on your registration form.

Cancellations

Before February 25th, 2011: $15 cancellation fee
