Teaching the Civil War during the 150th Anniversary
How do I know if I was accepted?
This professional development is open to all K-12 teachers, there is no application, only registration. As soon as you register you are all set and on our list of attendees!
Who is eligible to attend?
Any educator that works with students in grades kindergarten through 12, not just history teachers.
Will meals be provided?
The only meal that will be provided is lunch on Monday, March 19th so plan you breakfasts and dinners accordingly.
Where do I park?
Musselman parking lot. Look in section D-3 of the Gettysburg College Campus Map (PDF).
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Not to the events on March 19th, this includes the workshops and behinds the scenes tour because we don't have enough space. However, guests are welcome to attend the tour on Sunday, since you will need to drive yourself there is no space limit due to buses and we will be on the battlefield so there is no space restrictions there.
Do you offer continuing education credits?
Yes, we offer Pennsylvania teachers, ACT 48 credit and CEUs are available, but in order to receive credit be sure to mark that you would like to receive them on your registration. Amount of credit TBD. Continuing education credits will be mailed to your home following the event.
Will you offer scholarships?
Unfortunately, not for this event.
What if I have to cancel?
Refunds for cancellations will be available until February 25, 2011. To cancel: contact firstname.lastname@example.org - title your e-mail with your name and the word, "cancellation."
