How do I know if I was accepted?
This professional development is open to all K-12 educators; there is no application, only registration. As soon as you register you are all set and on our list of attendees!
What is the cost?
There is no cost! There is a $100 refundable deposit, just to save your place and ensure attendance. You might also incur expenses through travel and lodging, but the event is free, thanks to Tauck.
Who is eligible to attend?
Any educator that works with students in grades kindergarten through 12, not just history teachers.
Will meals be provided?
Yes, from breakfast on October 8th through breakfast on October 9th, all meals will be provided. See schedule for more details.
How do I get around Boston?
When you sign-in on October 8th the Trust staff will give you a Link Pass to use for Boston's Public Transportation system which will be good for 7 consecutive days for unlimited use for Subway, Local Bus, Commuter Rail Zone 1A and Inner Harbor Ferry travel
Can I bring a friend or family member to the meals, workshops, and/or tours?
No, this event is strictly for K-12 educators. All funding is provided for the purpose of supporting educators in their Civil War instruction. Space is very limited so no exceptions will be made.
However, guests are welcome to attend Saturday night's dinner. There is an option on the registration form to bring guests dinner. Guests must pay their costs for these events either by check or cash at the sign-in table on Saturday morning. The price for Saturday's dinner is TBD.
Do you offer continuing education units?
Yes, Amount of units is 1.2 CEUs. Continuing education units will be mailed to your home following the event.
Will you offer scholarships?
Yes, we are offering scholarship. Scholarships will cover the cost of your travel and lodging at the conference hotel. Apply here »
What if I have to cancel?
Before July 1, 2011 there will be no cancellation fee, from July 1 - September 9, 2011 there will be a $25 cancellation fee, after September 9, 2011 no refunds will be awarded. To cancel: contact firstname.lastname@example.org - title your e-mail, "Boston Cancellation."
