The Regional Teacher Institute: Antietam is a professional development conference for K-12 educators focused exclusively on the American Civil War and its relationship to this important battle site. The professional development is free, thanks to our generous donors, but space is limited to 25 attendees. The available 25 spots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Putting it all Together – Using historic documents, historic photographs, and your photographs. Create a presentation, activity, lesson plan, and/or video to be used in your classroom.
*It is recommended that you bring a laptop or device to build your presentations. It is also recommended that you load your picture from the 12th beforehand.

Scholarships will be available for first-time attendees. Scholarships cover the attendee's personal travel and lodging costs as well.

The Military Historical Society of Massachusetts (MHSM) is sponsoring scholarships specifically for Massachusetts teachers to the Teacher Institute.
