Meeting placeThe site is located at 3522 College Street in Jackson, Louisiana (zip code 70748). Volunteers will meet and assemble at the Professor's House Museum and proceed to the site of the East Wing Dormitory (ca. 1832) ruins. We will attempt to remove all vines, weeds, sticks, and small trees growing in and on the ruins. Weather permitting.

Planned Low-Impact ActivitiesNothing specific other than the site tour. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and should be able to participate with the work in some way.
Other ActivitiesA guided tour of the site and viewing of the site history video will be offered before work begins.
Bring tools?We will have some but it is recommended that volunteers bring their own pruning sheers, gloves, etc.
Food providedYes - drinks (water, soda, sports drink)
